Originario de Oaxaca (México), estudió Medicina, Literatura hispánica y teología. Pastor reformado, escritor y editor, ha sido profesor en diversas instituciones y es autor de varios libros de historia, teología y poesía. Formó parte de la Comisión de Formación Ecuménica del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias y actualmente es integrante del consejo editorial de la Casa Unida de Publicaciones. Fundó y dirige el Centro Basilea de Investigación y Apoyo, y la revista virtual elpoemaseminal. Escribe en sitios de internet como Protestante Digital, Lupa Protestante y ALC Noticias.
Leopoldo was born in Oaxaca, Mexico. He studied medicine, Hispanic literature, and theology. He is a reformed pastor, writer, and editor. Leopoldo has been a professor at different institutions and is the author of several books on history, theology, and poetry. He was a member of the Ecumenical Formation Committee of the World Council of Churches and he presently serves as a member of the editorial council of the Casa Unida de Publicaciones (United House of Publications). Leopoldo founded and directs the Centro Basilea de Investigación y Apoyo (Basel Center for Research and Support). Leopoldo also is the director of the virtual magazine El Poema Seminal (the Seminal Poem). He is a regular contributor of internet sites such as Protestante Digital, Lupa Protestante, and ALC Noticias.
Leopoldo has been writing sermon commentaries for the CEP website since October 2016.
