Heidelberg Catechism

The Heidelberg Catechism, released in 1563, is one of the primary Reformed summaries of the faith that emerged from the Protestant Reformation. Today the Catechism remains a guide for preaching in many Reformed churches as the Catechism includes summary observations on key topics like the Apostles’ Creed, the Ten Commandments, and the Lord’s Prayer. The Catechism sermon commentaries featured here suggest fresh angles for talking about important doctrines in sermons as well as Scripture text suggestions to accompany different parts of the Catechism and illustration ideas to bring these confessional and doctrinal themes into contact with our contemporary world.
